Have you ever been to the Hot Springs region in Arkansas?

It’s a place I’ve always wanted to visit but haven’t yet.

The Hot Springs area has some beautiful nature, cool architecture, and an interesting history involving gangsters and organized crime. Al Capone used to vacation there.

Hot Springs is also the first federally protected piece of land in America, pre-dating Yellowstone. It received this status in 1832, though the Hot Springs National Park wasn’t established until 1921.
