Capys Enjoy A Morning Snack

Good morning!

Hope your week is off to a great start. Here’s a Capybara (technically two, but one is a bit far off and out of focus) grazing in the tall grass.

The CapyTube Merch Store Proudly Presents:

New Video For You

There’s a fine line between being self-indulgent and sharing a personal anecdote that may be valuable to others.

So, here it goes…

Roughly 20% of all YouTube videos are now AI-generated. That’s an impressive feat considering YouTube is 21 years old, while commercial AI tools have only been widely accessible for about 4–5 years. Both creators and viewers seem to hate AI. On a personal note, pre-AI CapyTube would garner hundreds of thousands of views in a day; now the channel struggle to reach even 1% of that.

You might assume I’d hate AI too, but I don’t.

I love it.

Experimenting with AI tools reminds me of staying up late to build custom maps in Age of Empires II or Neverwinter Nights.

If you’re a creative type, or the proverbial “idea guy” (or gal!), it’s incredible.

Recently, at a family event, I had all the kids help use YouTube’s new AI music generator for an upcoming video.

Here’s today’s short: a Capybara power-walking to the lake while its friend follows, set to a mix of AI-generated music and real nature sounds.

Hope you enjoy!

Thanks for reading and have a great day!
