O Capybara!

A Visit To Sao Paulo's "Toronto City Park"

While there are tons of places where you can see Capybaras in Brazil, many of them are off the beaten path - at least when it comes to general tourism. Fortunately, Sao Paulo has several interesting parks in or near the city itself.

One of these locations is “Parque Cidade de Toronto” ("Toronto City Park").

This is a beautiful park in its own right, with a nice lake and plenty of walking paths…

But, what really makes this park special are the capybaras that live here. You can often see them swimming around the lake, grazing the marshy shores, or just hanging out right next to the main walking path.

If you’re visiting Sao Paulo and want to see capybaras without having to take a train way outside the city limits, “Parque Cidade de Toronto” is an excellent choice!

As always, thanks for reading and have a wonderful day!

P.S. Brazil has many cities / places with recognizable names. There’s “Brooklin,” Sao Paulo (complete with bridge!); Clevelandia, Parana; and Indianopolis, Minas Gerais.
