Napping On A Friday

Salvador Dali's Secret Snoozing Technique!

Salvador Dali believed that one of the secrets to becoming a great artist was to "slumber with a key." The idea is that a person takes an ultra-short one second nap by falling asleep with a chunky metal key in their hand. Once asleep, the hand relaxes, the key falls to the floor, and the noise wakes the sleeper up.

Capybaras don’t have opposable thumbs so they can’t hold keys, which explains the severe lack of famous painters who are also Capybaras.

Luckily, capys don’t need to be painters. They’re already one of nature’s great masterpieces.

The CapyTube Merch Store Proudly Presents:

Shirts With A Cause…

This holiday season, CapyTube is launching charitable donations alongside a brand-new line of Cozybara Capybara merch.

These 100% original designs feature Capybaras enjoying calm, cozy indoor activities:

  • Capybaras reading

  • Capybaras sipping coffee

  • Capybaras relaxing in bubble baths

  • Capybaras tucked in for a peaceful night’s sleep

Printed on ultra-soft ring-spun cotton, each design is perfect for lazy mornings, rainy afternoons, or any time when you need a reminder to slow down and enjoy life.

Now, here’s the best part…

These shirts also support an important cause. From the launch on November 12, 2025, through January 13, 2026, CapyTube will donate $5 to the Mayo Clinic for every shirt sold.

The Mayo Clinic is one of the world’s leading hospital systems, known for groundbreaking research and exceptional patient care. Every purchase helps fuel life-changing medical breakthroughs and brings hope to patients and families around the world.

If you’d like a cozy Capybara shirt that also makes a positive impact, you can check out the collection here:

Here’s a brief Q&A on the idea as well…

What Not Donate To A Capybara Themed Charity?

To the best of my knowledge, and please email me if I’m wrong, there isn’t a specific Capybara-themed charity out there. And since it’s the holiday season, it felt right to direct the donations toward helping people in need.

Why $5? Why Not All The Money From The Sale?

Great question! Short version: making merch is surprisingly expensive. Hiring artists, testing different designs, ordering samples in multiple sizes and colors…

It adds up fast!

On top of that, printing costs vary by country and currency, so the profit on each shirt isn’t consistent.

Setting a fixed “$5 donation per item” keeps everything transparent and easy to track.

And even with this setup, I’ll probably end up losing money on the venture. But, I wanted to do it anyway.

Why The Time Limit?

Have you ever been to a restaurant with a menu the size of a phonebook?

Too many options gets overwhelming. To avoid sending supporters to The Chaos Zone (which actually sounds like a good name for an arcade or laser tag arena), most CapyTube merch is seasonal.

And since the “Cozybara” designs are tied to a charity fundraiser, a limited time window makes tracking donations way simpler and more accurate.

Thank you for reading and have a great day!
