Did You Know…
While Capybaras may sleep soundly in the park, dolphins and whales never fully sleep.
These two creatures rest in a state called “unihemispheric slow-wave sleep,” where only one half of their brain is asleep. This process allows dolphins and whales to surface for air and monitor their surroundings even though they are resting!
