Let's Take A Trip To Parque Ecologico do Tiete
A Really Cool Nature Preserve On The Edge Of Sao Paulo
If you like nature and are visiting Sao Paulo, be sure to check out Parque Ecologico do Tiete. This is an enormous nature preserve that’s easily accessible by train. And, the park is filled with all kinds of incredible animals - including Capybaras!

Parque Ecologico do Tiete is located directly across from Engenheiro Goulart train station, and there’s a covered walkway leading from the station to the park.

The park is home to a lot of animals. There are monkeys, porcupines, coatis, Capybaras, and even sloths and wild boars.
Some of these animals are easier to spot than others.
And after visiting this park several times, I’ve personally never seen a sloth or Capybara here. But, you might have better luck.
Plus, coatis and capuchin monkeys abound. So, that’s neat!

Here’s a family of coatis goofing-off together.

And a capuchin monkey hanging out in the trees.
If you’re in Sao Paulo and want to visit a large nature preserve with a ton of cool and interesting animals, Parque Ecologico do Tiete is an excellent choice!
