The CapyTube Merch Store Proudly Presents:
The Power Of The Mind Is Not A Joke
The first week of January is the time of year when people are most likely to start new habits. As a firm believer in the power of visualization, backed by consistent effort and self-discipline, here are a three notable examples of people who visualized a big goal and then made it a reality:
Jim Carrey — Before he was famous, Carrey wrote himself a $10 million check for “acting services rendered” and dated it for 1995. He kept this check in his wallet and regularly visualized being a successful actor. In 1995, he earned roughly $10 million for Dumb and Dumber.
Herb York — The physicist who helmed America’s controversial Advanced Research Projects Agency kept two picture frames on his desk. One contained a photograph of the moon taken from Earth. The other was empty, waiting for the day the United States achieved space travel and could photograph the moon from orbit. Eleven years later, astronauts walked on the moon.
Michael Jordan — Credited much of his success to the power of visualization. Jordan not only imagined himself making shots and winning games, but also pictured missing shots and calmly responding to salvage the situation.
