Yesterday, I went to Parque Horto Florestal for a picnic.

It’s a great park to visit in person, but it can be a bit challenging to photograph since many of the animals keep their distance from visitors.

Nonetheless, here are a few pictures from yesterday…

If you squint, you can spot a toucan in the image below.

Here’s a coati that passed by, completely unperturbed by the park-goers.

The picnic was interrupted by a mother duck and her ducklings, all hoping for a snack.

Did You Know…

Toucans often curl into a ball when they sleep. Another fun fact, they like to sleep in natural tree cavities or in old holes abandoned by woodpeckers.
