Gentle Grazer Relaxes While Watching The Herd

The babies were out grazing along the riverbanks, and this capy had guard duty. It was watching over the little ones with the utmost vigilance when I arrived.

Fortunately, baby Capybaras are a hardy stock, because their protector took a short break from sentinel duty to enjoy some tickles and behind-the-ear scratching. Once satisfied, it was back to work.
