Jason Voorhees may emerge from the waters of Camp Crystal Lake to terrorize teenagers, but the only thing the Capybaras of Toronto City Park are interested in attacking is giant mouthfuls of delicious grass!

Here’s a capy floating around and enjoying the afternoon sun on a beautiful summer day.

Did You Know…

Rats are one of the most common horror animals, featured prominently in stories such as Dracula, Willard, The Rats, and Stephen King’s Graveyard Shift.

Personally, I like rats. My brother even had a pair as pets when we were kids. As an adult, I once got horribly ill after saving an entire nest of baby sewer rats from drowning in a flood — 100% worth it.

But for a lot of people, they’re the ultimate scary animal.
