Fresh From The Water And Ready To Graze

Can You Tell Which Part Of This Capybara Stayed Above Water?

The Capybaras of “Parque Cidade de Toronto” in Sao Paulo, Brazil have an interesting routine. When the weather is warm, they all lounge on one of the many islands located in the middle of the park’s lake.

But when the sun begins to set and temperatures cool, the capys all make a beeline for shore and start grazing.

Here’s a hungry fellow who swam across the lake to eat fresh grass.

You might enjoy the water line across this capy’s face, from where it kept its eyes and nose above water!

Did You Know…

North American river otters can hold their breath for up to 8 minutes. But, that’s not all. These same otters can run at speeds of up to 18 mph (29kph) on land.

Despite their playful mannerisms and cute appearance, these are some physically impressive creatures!
