And Two Bonus Animals!
Big bara wiggles its ears while grazing.

It rained earlier in the morning, and this capy was flapping its ears to shoo off flies.

Other Animals Spotted This Week…
It’s spring in South America which means Tegu lizards are out and about. I spotted at least a dozen of these large reptiles over the past week. However, tegus are relatively shy and thus difficult to photograph.
Luckily, I was able to snap this picture in Toronto City Park, not far from where I took today’s Capybara picture!

Parque Ecologico do Tiete is a fantastic nature preserve that technically has Capybaras in it. However, this is a huge park that spans more than 14 million square meters. As such, your odds of actually seeing a capy here are relatively low.
Still, the park is home to monkeys, coatis, and all manner of interesting birds and reptiles.
