While the city has actual sand beaches, Chicago also has a large concrete embankment that many people use as a beach. During the summer, people lay on the cement and enjoy the weather.

It’s become something of a meme, but the “Concrete Beach” is actually pretty nice!

This Capybara must have known so, too. Because it wanted to recreate the fun of a Chicago beach day…

Hanging out on the concrete. Enjoying the sun. Relaxing. Not a bad idea!

While there’s no “Chicago, Paraguay” there is a “Filadelfia.” Many of the residents are Mennonites who settled the area in the 1930’s.

There’s also a Paraguayan town called “Fuerte Olimpo,” named after Mount Olympus.
