Roughly 250 million red roses are grown each year in preparation for Valentine’s Day. Since it’s nearly impossible to grow flowers in February throughout much of the Northern Hemisphere, most Valentine’s Day roses are grown in warm-weather climates such as Ecuador, Kenya, and Colombia.
