Walking to the park yesterday, I spotted something interesting…

A Capybara laying under a bridge…

Was it hurt?

Was it dead?

“Hey capy!” I shouted cheerfully. The restful rodent perked-up, wiggled its ears, and promptly fell back asleep.

When it’s a sunny day and you want to nap, the sandbank under an old keystone bridge is as good a place as any.

Capybaras At The Grocery Store…

If you like unique and delicious sodas, Brazil has dozens of regional choices. Guarana Jesus is a personal favorite, with its spicy bubblegum flavor. Fun fact: this soft drink is so popular in Northern Brazil that Coca-Cola actually bought the brand so they wouldn’t have to compete against it.

And in Curitiba, “Cini” is the regional beverage company.

Right now, they have posters and ads all over town featuring a cartoon Capybara enjoying their soft drinks.

As a simple man who sees a sales pitch featuring Capybaras and immediately buys the product being advertised (unrelated note, there are still plenty of t-shirts and mugs available at the CapyTube merch store) I swung by the grocery store to grab a bottle of raspberry Cini soda.

And while wandering the supermarket, I also saw this block of cheese carved into the shape of a smiling capy!
