A Visit To Tingui Park
Enjoy These Throwback Capybara Pics
The Southern Cone (Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay, and Brazil's four southernmost states) received a lot of immigrants from all over the world. And in Curitiba, there are multiple parks dedicated to different immigrant communities.
There’s “Japan Square,” a Polish park called “Pope's Woods,” “German Woods,” and “Tingui Park” which is dedicated to the city’s Ukrainian immigrants.
I went for a walk around Tingui Park a few years back.
It’s a really interesting location with a replica Orthodox church that contains all kinds of Ukrainian cultural items…

The interior has a large display of Pysanky decorative eggs…

And outside, on the park’s grounds there were Capybaras grazing by the river path!
