A Capy In The Bush

Tasty Treats While Staying in the Shade

Went to the park.

Couldn’t find the Capybaras.

Heard rustling from a dense patch of overgrowth.

They were tucked inside, chewing through vines and leaves. Here’s the first photo I snapped: three babies out on the lawn, grazing, while their mother stayed back in the thicket, still enjoying her meal.

Later, the mother rejoined her babies, and they grazed the grass together.

Did You Know…

Did you ever wonder why blackberry and raspberry patches always seem so overgrown?

It’s because their canes (those vine-like branches) only live for two years. They grow like crazy in the first year, produce fruit in the second, and then they’re done.

That’s also why you so often run into massive, tangled brambles out in nature.
